Yvonne “Von” Ozuzu
Public Health Informatics & Technology student at Bowie State University (B.S. expected December 2026). I turn Census, ACS and county health data into Power BI dashboards and plain-language outreach recommendations, with four-plus years in digital communications, community management and frontline user support. Washington, DC metro.
Featured project
Health insurance coverage disparities in Prince George’s County, Maryland
Data Analytics Intern, Center for Data Analytics, Bowie State University (summer 2026). Team of two plus a mentor.
Eighteen years (2006–2024) of Census SAHIE, ACS (S2701, B27001) and Prince George’s County HealthZone data, cleaned and modeled in Power Query and Power BI, delivered as an interactive dashboard with six visuals, year and geography slicers, and a ZIP-code choropleth, plus five outreach recommendations for county health partners.
Findings were translated into targeted outreach recommendations: ZIP-level enrollment events, Spanish-language Medicaid and Marketplace materials, and partnerships with employers of working-age uninsured residents.
All data is public, aggregate, and published by federal and county agencies. No patient-level or protected health information was used.
